A Shooting at the DC Naval Yard?

BREAKING: Heavily armed US Capitol Police officers are RACING to a reported shooting in the vicinity of a high-ranking US government official in Washington, DC’s Navy Yard
The black SUV seen in the video is an armored Chevrolet Suburban used by leaders of Congress and members of the President’s cabinet.
It is UNCLEAR if this was a targeted attack, but the alleged shooter is NOT in custody, and police are searching the area.
I personally witnessed that official be EXTRACTED via undercover Capitol Police officers, protected by uniformed officers carrying long rifles
I will not name the official without their express permission, as I don’t want to dox their home.
Other officers can be seen sweeping the area for evidence like shell casings.
Will update when I have more details.
Rumors are that a high ranking government official has been shot at.

They also just called Congress back to the Capitol at midnight for a secret vote on FISA. It sounds to me like someone knew they would be going to the Capitol at this hour.

As do people in Trump's cabinet if I'm not mistaken. Sortor is saying it was a heavily armored black SUV, the likes of which are used by congressional leaders and cabinet members.
The suspect got away and apparently there is a manhunt underway.

None of his present cabinet lives there. They are all in secure housing in DC. Several of his past cabinet members still live there I think.

She doesn't have a publicly disclosed address in DC at the moment. Back in 2019 she was living in the Fort Davis Neighborhood in Southeast DC.

I think so too. Whoever it was was in an armored suburban. So hopefully they're ok.
Also, Sortor is the only real source for this so far, but the police presence appears to be legit. Also, this may not be the type of thing that is going to have official confirmation right away.
The White House is reportedly on lockdown right now.

DC is the only city in the U.S. that I could get behind having strict gun laws. The amount of high-value political targets living in a government jurisdiction with tiny area limits makes it too easy for shite like this to happen.
Yet even then with the gun laws as strict as they are in DC, this still happened. It does absolutely nothing to stop people from driving in from neighboring states like WV where there are basically no gun laws at all (no way am I saying that’s a bad thing)
So how do you prevent something like this? Installation of more security checkpoints inside of the city?

I don't know what's going on here. They just voted down the FISA reauthorization and I just saw video of a bunch of Congress types standing around outside the Capitol. Sortor may be bullshitting? But why would he say he personally witnessed this shite? They have this guy on FOX news and other media outlets. Why would he lie like that and destroy his credibility?
