We spoke to Wake Forest linebacker Aaron Curry about the experience on Tuesday.

He said that each team has its own room in which the interviews occur, and that when they say the interviews last for 15 minutes, they mean it.

Curry explained an air horn sounds from the hallway at the 12-minute mark, and then again when the allotted time has expired.

Asked to identify the strangest question he received from the 20 teams with which he met over a two-night period, Curry said that he had an unusual experience with the Saints.

“They were just trying to see how I reacted to a hard situation or hard coaching,” Curry said. “A coach asked questions with a drill sergeant demeanor.

“Before you were done he’d cut you off and say why your answer was wrong,” Curry said. “And then he’d ask the next question.”

Curry wasn’t the only one who got that treatment from the Saints. The talk among the Combine participants was that anyone who met with the Saints was put through the same paces.

It’s not necessarily the best way to woo a guy. But, then again, it’s a draft.

They might be trying to cut out Robert Meachem type soft attitudes before they draft them. Or considering Gregg Williemas is an intense DC the player better be ready to go to work day one. I for one think it is great.

It's very different, Draft Picks vs. Free Agents.

Draft Pick is yours, and if he wants to play in The League, he'll do what you say.

Plus, maybe they are looking for a special type personality or attitude. We know most of these guys can play...SP & the Coaches need to find the ones who'll work & practice the hardest to develop that talent.

Yeah, hilarious when they are all FA's 5 years from now and the only thing they know of the saints is their 15 minute retarded unprofessional interview...

I'm sure the prospects are coached as what to say for the standard questions. Throwing them a curve ball gets them to think quickly and on their own.

if that was the most unusual thing they had to deal with, then, uh, they obviously have led the sheltered athlete life.

"They cut me off and hollered at me, mommie!"

STFU and show us what ya got bad asses.

It's pure speculation but it does sound like the Gregg Williams MO. Everyone describes him as intense. He's been around long enough to identify who is his type attitude-wise with some simple techniques. Right on xxxxxx, the NFL is warrior mentality.

Did anyone else catch during the combine when discussing the Wonderlic Bill Walsh was mentioned? They said for guys he was really interested in he would give them some additional verbal tests used by the Green Berets. This just reminded me of that.

So you judge a warrior by acting like an idiot and see what happens?

I think they want to see the level of "respect for authority" or something like that.

They want to weed out "mouthy" and reel in "coachable"

Thats why they're coaches in the NFL and you're not.
