I’m a tree climber, so I’m squirrel heavy.

It’s just part of the game.

But goddamnit, they all die.

And I have the sads.

Any tips?

Kitten milk replacement; all the jazz.

I can’t keep them alive. It hurts.

Bro why are you raiding squirrel nests and trying to raise them as pets?

That's inhumane if they're dying all the time and you keep trying it.

I hope those weren't dead baby squirrels you're holding in that picture.

I was about to sit down for dinner and now my appetite is diminished. Thanks for that...

I climb and cut down the tree that they live in. Then I find the nest.

Then I find them and I’m asking for help.

Yes, I’ll cut my nails.

I see. So your profession is destroying squirrel habitats but you feel guilty about it and are just trying to help.

You should just leave them there so a bird of prey can have them as a tasty treat. Circle of Life and shite.

My profession is a climbing arborist.

Bend, Oregon.

This is my third round of squirrels in the last six years and I’ve had zero success.

I’ve woken up every two hours to make them right again but nothing helps.

That’s why I’m asking for help and here you come being derogatory towards me and my profession.

Either post something positive or I can frick you up at Sonic.

I had a pet squirrel for 9 years. Best pet I ever had.

Fell out of a tree during Hurricane Rita at that age.

Fun fact, you have to wet a rag with warm water and rub his nuts to make him pee. If not, they will die of infection.

It's pretty tough to do. I had one from a litter of three that make it after a hurricane took out a tree in my yard. One died within a day, other two made it to adolescent but one eventually passed.

The third one made it a year before I eventually let it go after it bit me while changing its water and cleaning its cage.

I can't remember which formula I used but reach out to a vet or rescue. I'd honestly just do that anyway and not even attempt it.

Yeah I’m running KMR. Kitten milk replacement.

They aspirate so hard. And I think the formula just dries in their sinuses and they stop breathing.

Just looking for help. No shelter around those parts would care about a squirrel.

I do.

I'll ask my dad what he fed them. If I remember right he said a lot of the powders for other pets made their kidneys shut down or some sh*t. He's an engineer, not a vet, but we always had pet squirrels running around.

You might be a buck and a half fully clothed and soaking wet. Your anorexic looking arse shouldn't be offering to meet anyone at Sonic unless you want to buy them a milkshake!

That's cool. I guess your job is probably helping the environment in some way. Good for you.

Not really. You didn't mention that it was your profession in the OP.

I've raised a bunch of rabbits with the help of the mother rabbit, never on my own. I imagine keeping them warm and bottle feeding would be the key.

Yep.
I have to express their glands before every feeding, which is two hours.

They also cannot regulate their own body temperature so I have them under heat lamp.
