Picture this
Undefeated top 3 LSU host Alabama in a night game in Death Valley.
Gameday may be on campus to kick off the morning
Will Wade kicks off the 26-27 basketball season around noon in the Pmac.
The weather should be just about perfect. Cant think of a better day to be a Tiger fan.

Absolutely zero chance that LSU schedules a home basketball game on the same day as we’re hosting Alabama in football. Too much going on to try to fully staff both venues the same day when they’d both be sellout crowds, plus potentially having Gameday on campus as the same time.
Will Wade’s hiring has enough hype that basketball deserves its own day to kickoff the season. Not playing 2nd fiddle to football on the same day.
Now if they had a home opener on that Friday night and the Alabama game Saturday, it’d be a fun weekend in the RV lots
ETA: and kickoff times for conference games aren’t set in stone until a week or 2 ahead of time. I know its a 99% chance LSU-Bama is a night game, but there’s always the possibility that one or both teams are having very disappointing seasons and ESPN puts us in the afternoon slot. Which would be a cluster frick if there’s games going on simultaneously in Tiger Stadium and PMAC

I’ve been an LSU football fan long enough to know not to look forward to the Alabama game.
Too many years where that game was the sole focus of the season, which led to us dropping a game or 2 early and then pressing way more than we should’ve because it became a do or die.. and viola next thing you know we lost 8 in a row.
Let that game come to you, it’s on the schedule and isn’t going anywhere.
