Let's be honest. Some People within the Athletic Dept must not have agreed with what Woodward did. Unless the whole staff is gone since Woodward left.

It truly is amazing that he is back. Whether you agree or not. I would have loved to hear what Woodward said to the powers that be to not just make this move but to hire McMahon. Woodward was under Emmert at LSU and Woody folded like a cheap tent to the Emerrts NCAA. I hope now we have strong willed AD office that will fight for LSU now. LSU has always done what NCAA said do. While other schools (Auburn) give the finger and nothing happens to them for much worse.

Not taking a shot at McMahon its just fact that he was the guy for Woodward.

The entire LSU system will have Will Wade's back. He wouldn't be here otherwise.

On paper I don't think McMahon was a garbage hire, given the state of the program. It just became clear he was in over his head pretty quickly.

It’s ok to understand why he was fired and to also not want him fired. Although I’ve heard Woody never liked Wade.

It doesn’t matter because he’s back and the timeline is fixed.

Trust me, this McMahon guy's going to achieve great things at LSU. I'd stake my job on it!

Much of the athletic department is still the same. The difference from 2022 is the BOS, President, and Governor. They were the ones who made this move and essentially told the department either get over it, or we’ll get you out. Just like they did with Woodward.

It’s not an overly popular move within the department. That’s why the political muscle brought in basically an AD for Wade alone. The only person in the department who has more power than Wade is Kiffin. And that’s only because he is the football coach. Wade has the top political support behind him.

I hope you're right. I haven't watched basketball in a couple of years because their was no hope.

I dont like the feeling of no chance to win.

It does make me laugh that Woodward thought he was a god here and ended up not even in the same stratosphere of popularity as the popular coach he fired.

It is actually really funny considering Woodwards media lackies

Some will always disagree. But that was not a one-person decision. There were several on the BOS(many gone now, some changed their minds), the LSU president, and (most likely) the governor who wanted him gone
