thinking of throwing a bone to the wife after she agreed to let me install my 10x20 shed; there is enough room to add a concerete pad or maybe i'll get crazy again and do a composite deck..perfect spot for a hot tub.

looking at the aqua terra on costco's site but man they've gone up since covid you could find 6-7 person models around $3k before now they're $4-$6k.

any thoughts on this board for any hot tub owners? this is a 'wife' perk, but guess who will be the one keeping it clean.

Been thinking about one of these. Less than $700 to build.
Maybe put a deck around it at the level of the top

my thoughts on this matter (and my solution) are well documented here. In summary a jetted hot tub sounds great and is great but for occasional use a simple tub or large basin you can fill with hot and cold water (ie: a tub) and drain when done is easier, simpler, cheaper, lasts longer, has no electrical or mechanical parts and is healthier for you (no chemicals needed). And when draining the water can be put to use as irrigation

if you have propane or natural gas already an RV type on demand WH will provide all the hot water you’ll need, and the plumbing is elementary

Start with an inflatable hot tub, they actually make some relatively decent that will last a couple of years. That way when she doesn't use it you can just take it down and throw it away.

If she does use it, then you can get her a "real" one.
