I love the hire. Men's basketball at LSU needs to be competitive. As long as they don't pull from Jay and men's baseball its a home run hire to me.

If basketball creates more revenue, there is more to go around.

A good Men’s Basketball program will be beneficial to the Athletic Department as a whole. Men’s Basketball is still the #2 revenue sport by far.
That’s why I don’t understand the people that accepted a horrible basketball program. Why throw away the #2 revenue sport, 1 of 2 sports that consistently turns a profit? If Wade puts LSU back on the map in CBB, and he will do that, it will give LSU more attention, more money etc. If Football and Basketball are doing great it can help with Baseball, and the more niche sports like Gymnastics and even Softball.
