Is this nostalgic for anyone? It very much is for my wife. I’m trying to find them in BR with no luck though

Ditto. They went away a few years ago and then came back in stock at local Walmarts (white and milk chocolate) about 2-3 years ago. However, the past 2 years I have not had any luck and seem to remember reading that they are no longer being made. There’s no alternative that’s close to replicating IMO.

Pretty sure Merlin Candies went out of business. Either that, or they got bought up and the Merlin name isn't being used. I used to do some business with them a long time ago. It was mind blowing to see how early they started making those chocolate rabbits for Easter.

Last time I was able to find a Merlin was about 3 years ago at my local Wally World. I bought one for both my Grandkids, One for both my kids, and, of course, one for myself.
The other chocolate bunnies just cant compete! They are not the same.

I like the Palmer chocolate bunnies and eggs if we are talking about old school chocolate companies. Their chocolate has a really unique taste that I love.

I hated when I started getting these. When I was a kid I thought I was getting cheated by getting a hollow bunny. 
As a side note, I saw Costco now has a 10lb bunny they are selling for around $125
