I mean, I'm not saying that the guy is inaccurate here, but to be honest you would have to acknowledge that Jefferson asked this question while we ourselves were taking slaves.
If you want to make it about religion then you can also say that the Christians who founded this country were just as equally at fault for the same frickin crime at the same frickin time.

I mean, I guess you could argue that it's ok for Christians to take slaves, but not Muslims, but that seems kinda self-defeating. OR you can abandon the idea that America is a Christian nation.

So are you suggesting this is a modern crusade that intends to eradicate Islam from the globe and so we should support the efforts against Iran because Islam sucks?
Islam is completely incompatible with the west and I want it pushed from our shores.
Not sure how a limited attack against Iran does anything whatsoever to impact the spread of Islam?
In likelihood it makes it worse because every time we fight a war over there (Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc) it causes a bunch of refugees to be imported here and in particular Western Europe.
