Can a Mylar balloon knock out power in your area? Or is this just a problem for Entergy?

Little known fact, that's how the U.S. crippled Cuba's power grid.

Metal and exposed high voltage electrical don't play nice.

Jesus dude, do you not know how a power grid works?

Unless the power lines are buried, you can knock out power with just about anything... I've seen squirrels do it...

Throw a wire coat hanger across a line that comes in contact with something not grounded, it does the same, mylar balloons just makes it easier.... Knocks out the pole breaker...

US has a bomb that explodes above electrical transmission and substation that scatters metal shavings/foil and fricks up everything

Hell, the carbon content in smoke from cane field burns has taken out 500kv transmission lines in Pointe Coupee many times.
