Listening this morning and i have some comments on back to back songs.
Ringo Starr “you’re 16, you’re beautiful, and you’re mine”.
WTF - how is this still being played?
Simon and Jagger “you’re so vain. You probably think this song is about you.”
Well, isn’t it?

Apparently 16 USED to be the cutoff. Number of songs using that age while singing about first time are endless.

Jimmy Buffett- “15 may get you 20, but that’s alright” (Livingston Saturday Night).
Stones- “I can see that you’re 15 years old honey, but I don’t want your ID” (Stray Cat Blues).
Dr. Hook- “She was only 16, only 16 but I loved her so” (Only Sixteen).
ZZ Top- “But this sweet young thing of seventeen” (She’s a Heartbreaker).

Only Dick Ebersol of NBC knows outside of Carly. He paid $50,000 in a fundraising auction for Carly to reveal to him under the condition he would not reveal.

I'd always heard James Taylor was the guy in the song, but a buddy who spent way more time than me digging into it swears it's Warren Beatty.

I think she's alluded to it being about a few guys. I think she say a certain verse being about Beatty.
