After 17 days and despite the partial shutdown still going, GE is back in effect.

Have been using the MPC app which has worked great. What are the advantages of Global Entry over MPC?

I've used the MPC app for years, it is great.
Global Entry comes with TSA Precheck, so if you don't have that its included.
Essentially with GE you don't do anything now, you just walk through the GE line without stopping in most places. There's a camera that captures you.
