but he without a doubt has the worst pitching mechanics I've ever seen on a potentially great pitcher. Because of that he is liable to throw the ball uncatchable by the catcher on any pitch. I wish someone would teach the kid how to pitch rather than just throw.

What's the point in being 6'9" but giving up the sharp angle by going 3/4 arm slot?

His fastball could be so marginal and so much harder to hit if he changed his arm slot.

I have no idea wtf our resident TD "experts" were seeing in fall and preseason practice. They go sit their asses in the box year round and come here posting a bunch of opinions about the team that never seem to be remotely true. How can you watch that much baseball and still have no idea wtf you're looking at

Rizy looks exactly the same as last year, great potential but too damn big to repeat his mechanics.

I went to a lot of scrimmages. Rizy looks the exact same as last year. He’s still hard to hit but just doesn’t throw enough strikes. He’ll get there but it may not be with us.
