Not sure about being the spark plug, but he did play some good ball down the stretch season. He was already good in the field but his bat really came around during tournament time. “GEAUX Stanny”

He went long stretches last year where he wasn’t a great hitter. That said. I hope he brings it on strong when comes back.

I don't know about a sparkplug, but the team chemistry is better when Stanny is in the lineup.

I'm no doctor, but you generally don't get swelling unless you have a break or a hairline fracture. There has to be more to his injury than sliding into home and hitting the catcher's foot.

I hope he is ready for next week.

Not so sure about that. Seems like you’re grasping for hope.

To be clear, I have not given up on this team. I like Stanfield a lot, but he is not this huge influence that we can’t live without.
