Cornyn and his allies spent a staggering $70 million in the primary to paint the four-term career politician as a friend of President Donald Trump with a conservative record – spending that made the Texas Republican Senate primary the most expensive primary in the nation’s history. But those Washington consultant-crafted ads hide that Cornyn has spent nearly a decade working to stop President Donald Trump and more than two decades undermining the conservative movement.

From his vocal opposition to Trump’s presidential campaigns and defense of the lawfare waged against Donald Trump to his sabotaging of the America First agenda, Cornyn has consistently turned his back on Trump when it mattered most.

Conservative Review’s Liberty Score® grades members of Congress on the top 50 votes over a rolling six-year term. A letter grade is assigned to each member to help you quickly determine whether a lawmaker is supporting conservative principles. The Liberty Score® helps evaluate your representatives and senators, providing the tools necessary to separate rhetoric from reality. We don’t expect any elected officials to be perfect, but we do expect them to keep promises.

John Thune's Liberty Score is an "F" !!

Is it Texans that need to wake up or Trump? He's the one that is getting involved in a way that will give us cornyn in the Senate for another 6 yrs.

I believe POTUS Trump is very aware of what is going on. He knew this would put Cornyn in a box regarding the SAVE ACT which is more important than Cornyn ever will be!!

Remember when y'all had the vote for the crook election? I guess we need a vote for the scumbag election. I would love for Paxton to win over Cornyn, I am just worried about the press successfully hiding Fagaricos flaws and tearing Paxton to shreds.

I get all that, but just saying that at this point it is not in the Texas voters court anymore, with Trump getting involved the way he is.

Unless Paxton stays in even when being asked or nudged to get out, and even if coryn helps get the save act thru. Hoping Texans still vote for Paxton. But that Act needs to get on Trump's desk in the next 2 months, cause it wont if cornyn loses even with Trump's endorsement.

I asked yesterday if, at this point, Paxton is removed from the ballot if he does drop out at this point in the process. Or does him dropping out cancel the election out? If I were in TX I'd vote for him no matter what, even write him in.

The SAVE Act signed by Trump is the only way I will eat a shite sandwich and vote for Cornyn. Failure to deliver and Cornyn vs Paxton is going to fill the airwaves, but Cornyn will be toast. He and Thune will be the face of everything you hate about Republicans in Congress. Failure to launch on the issues that most matter. Paxton's ads (or pro-Paxton PACs) will rip Cornyn apart, chew him up and spit him out over the SAVE Act not passing. Texans' anger and the national anger, over not passing the SAVE Act will cost Republicans the majority.

Thune better be reading the fricking tea leaves.

Fagaricos has far too many flaws. His flaws will be associated with any democrat that supports him. He will get BEAT DOWN!!

I have to laugh thinking Thune thinks he has leverage. There is no doubt now that he does not. We need to know more about Mitch McConnell's Chief of Staff!! That fella is controlled by someone or something with plenty of power.

I gave this a LOT of thought, like, to the point of analyzing the repercussions using several different AI systems (Claude, Grok and ChatGPT). My wife has a paid Claude account for her business and I have access). All three state that a write-in campaign would only be viable if Texas had ranked choice voting. Otherwise, the odds are highly favorable for the Democrat candidate if a write in campaign for Paxton took place. Believe me, I would jump on that saddleless horse and ride it as far as I could but in the end, all it would get me (and every other Texan who wrote in his name) is a Democrat senator and a sore arse.

Is that a write in scenario for the run-off?

Obviously if it's cornyn vs the Dems loon, you go cornyn, but just wondering how Texans are going to respond in the run-off election in May, with Trump's inclusion.

I am not a Texan and I can not stand Cornyn. I pray you get Paxton and America, the SAVE Act.
