That’s crazy. They should probably just let it go.

Something similar happened in the NBA when Shaq played for the Heat.
He fouled out in OT against the Hawks due to the official scorer recording him with a 6th foul when he only had 5.
The Heat protested and Stern made the teams replay the final 52 seconds of OT a few months later when the Heat went to Atlanta. The weird part is that Shaq had been traded to the Suns by then so he missed the rematch, which the Hawks won again.

In a rational world with rational priorities.
If the World can still turn and spin on its axis after Officials botched a Men's Olympic Gold medal in basketball in 1972...
These folks ,can move on from a high school girls basketball game that really has an already no harm, no foul outcome. Sounds like a lot of effort to go back and "follow protocol".

Game was played last night and the same team that came back to win the original game, came back and won last night.

Hell no. Those kids deserve a shot to win.

That wasn't simply botched, that was the officials giving the Soviets as many opportunities as they needed to win that game. They played the final 3 seconds over four times until they scored and made it official.
The U.S. silver medals are still sitting in a vault, in Switzerland, unclaimed.
