I watched our hitters watch 1st and 2nd pitch meatballs, then swing at junk. Garbage plate discipline

We walked 7 times today to 6 strikeouts. I’d say the plate discipline is there. Balls aren’t falling rn. They eventually will find grass

The past couple of games it seems like most of our hitters all of sudden look confused at the plate. They look uncomfortable and they have no clue what’s coming. They’ve sat there and watched a ton of beauties right over the heart of the plate go by these past couple games whereas the first 8 games they were blistering anything over the heart of the plate

Just last week people were talking about the pitching staff giving up too many runs

Last weekend, the narrative was our pitching better improve as our bats are great. We had 34 runs last weekend in 3 games against superior competition. This weekend, pitching is awesome, bats better wake up.

Every single game gives you a different dynamic. But… the only thing that matters is finding ways to win, which this team is doing.

I can see Moore having an Eyanson type season. Doesn’t necessarily have ace electric stuff but is very efficient and throws strikes

You’d think with as much baseball aptitude our fans think they have, they’d be more aware of the nuances of the game …….

This team was averaging 11.4 runs per game as of last weekend. They’ll be fine. Sometimes bats go cold for a few games.

We’ve been a baseball school for 3.5 decades and our fans still haven’t figured this out?

Eh … there were some gaps.
