These are the straightest hitting irons that I have ever owned.

For reference, I can't hit a fade shot to save my life, but I can hook it off the planet.

I typically hit a draw with everything that move 5-10 yards. over the years I have learned to account for it.

With these 790's and MMT shafts, I have to change my aim because I can't hardly draw them at all. I just hit them straight as a string.

It kind of messes with my mind a little but I am starting to trust it.

I love the look of the 790 behind the ball and they are very solid feeling.

I have never been a TaylorMade guy before, but now I am sold on the quality.

I recently switched to P790s from Callaway Apex A300s, these are the best irons I’ve played in years only drawback is sometimes I’ll nuke a shot 10yrds or more further than my standard distance.

I’m having the same experience with my new Sub70 699pros with the MMT shaft. The 699 pro is their version of a P790. It’s hard to aim dead at the middle of the green, bc I’m so accustomed to my draw and my miss which is a hook.

I agree, it's taking some getting used to.

The thing I like most about the 790s is that they're playable for someone with a low single digit handicap and up to the low teen handicap.

I had the 2021 and 2023 models. I know some people online refer to them as shovels Your new model picture there looks like they made them a little thinner and smoother at address.

As my game has improved I do find the older models look a little chunky some days. I have had success using one of my friends 770s. He did a blended set with 4,5,6 as p790s and 7-A with 770s. I think that could be the way to go for someone in a similar position.

I know we are talking irons here, but how is that driver?

The Qi4D Driver has been great. I am finding a lot of fairways with it.

I have never been a TaylorMade guy much in the past .

As a guy that use to hit a hard draw, I thought the M2 driver was best for hookers.

The Qi4D has a great shape that is easy on the eyes and the gear effect wants to keep the ball in play. Plenty long too.

It's easily the best driver that TM has ever made IMO.
