Did he seriously think FedEx wouldn't figure out where 300 missing packages went? Any analyst could point back to him in about 45 seconds with a single query.

Not kidding.
I just pulled video from a missing package at my house.
Neighbor's package delivered at my house. Photo taken and uploaded into tracking system. Driver takes package.
What a scam.

There was a guy for one of these companies a few years back that had a storage unit filled with stuff and another one had a spot in the woods he would dump packages.
USPS has had some too.

I ordered a tv from Walmart. Fed X showed it at the warehouse for several days on tracker. Never received it. Had to fill out a theft report to get a refund. Figured it was stolen by the driver. This was a year ago.
