All 8 episodes came out today (2/18/26). Will probably start watching tonight.

I read this a few years ago and liked it. The trailer looked different than I remember, way sexier than I recall the from the book. Iirc the relationship started during right before COVID and they were in lockdown together.
I've read several books by Catherine Ryan Howard and I recommend them if you are into a twisty, airport/beach read vibe.

This is turning out to be better than expected.
The female lead is freaky, both on and off screen.
Her name is Dove Cameron, and she grew up on the Disney Channel.
I was reading about her, and she has mental health issues in real life. It definitely comes through in her portrayal of "Ciara".
She has a nice pair of assets and does not mind showing them off on screen.

I had to check Wikipedia to make sure, but I remember her from Agents of Shield as Ruby Hale. My kid told me back then that she was a Disney star. I think her name being “Dove” stands out which made me immediately think that she was likely the Agents of Shield character when I read your post.
Actors and Wikipedia always have to focus on what a person identifies as. They had to throw in “identifying as a feminist” right with her sexuality. I don’t think they realize how that minimizes something that is supposed to be inherent and not learned or chosen like political views. To them she is first and foremost a bi or queer before only listing guys that she has dated.

The police supervisor made a reference to having a "wife", but that was it.
One of the secondary characters was played as a woman by an actor who is a tranny in real life, but not in the show.
