What happens when a paper commodity short squeezes?

I’m currently holding various USO call contracts, as of last check market was 66% short. If oil spikes, and USO short squeezes, will the paper security somehow become decoupled from the price of oil and blast much higher?

Positioning for an Iran attack I see. It's an interesting paradigm - attack Iran, oil likely rockets and then inflation follows sharply. And yet, inflation is the number one enemy of the house of cards.

Yes, some…I’ve been trading in and out of XLE calls a few weeks and then I saw this opportunity with the super short interest and felt like this was a good opportunity as well.
