Algarves to Seville with a stop in Tangier

Planning mid August trip. We want to stay in smaller beach towns along the Algarves and along the coast of Spain towards Seville. Anyone have recommendations on hidden towns or must sees along the route? Thanks.

Here's what we did last summer, somewhat similar but we didnt' do southern portugal. We do want to go back just for that area though.

Not sure what your route looks like, but i highly recommend a trip to Ronda and a dinner as the sun sets over the valley.
Our one regret was not spending a day in Tarifa so that we could take a ferry to Tangiers for a day.
Not sure what your plans are for travel, but you might want to look into crossing international borders with rental cars. Some dont' allow it and most are very expensive. That's why we didn't go into the Algarve area of Portugal from Seville.

I very much want to drive coastal Spain as well. I don’t think there are a lot of wrong answers
