I am closer to Rory in the World golf rankings than Rory is to Scottie

I wonder how long Scottie can stay #1 without even playing much less playing poorly. He’s gonna be there for a while no matter how he plays I’d imagine.

idk, his lead is very Tiger-esque but still not quite as ridiculous. Tiger didn't play golf from the US Open in 2008 until the match play in late February of 2009. He had an 11 point lead after the US Open (Tiger was at 21.138 and Phil at 10.077). When he returned, he still had almost a 2 point lead (Tiger was at 9.610 and Sergio at 7.872). Scottie currently is at 17.0368 and Rory is 2nd at 8.4060. Scottie could prob stop playing golf for half a year and stay #1 if I had to guess

At his peak, May 2001, Tiger's average was 32.33 compared to Phil in second place at just over 10.
