I intended to, but didn’t. Just wondering what stood out as it seems like a rehash of the ‘92 Dracula with fewer cus on a love story that’s not in the novel.

It was good not great

They made his love for his beloved the focus of his character and the reason for his becoming a supernatural being.

It takes liberties with the traditional myth for sure. Waltz was good but his character wasn't interesting enough to get a great performance out of him.

Worth seeing if you like the vampire genre. Don't have to worry about missing much if you wait for streaming

A few good sequences, but not great overall.

I really hate Caleb Landry Jones, so others will likely have more patience for him and the movie.

Waltz gives his second consecutive lame performance in an average-to-crummy monster film. This is not a good lane for hime.

Thank you both for the input. Sounds like another wasted opportunity.

Some time ago I heard that before he died Orson Wells was in the middle of a faithful adaptation with pre-production ongoing and location scouting in Spain taking place. I wonder what that would have been like.
