Bought an inverter generator and the meter display doesnt light up. It works just no read

Does anyone know how to fix. Its brand new. I have been calling support and emailing. No answers yet.

Meter for what? Are you saying the generator works, but there are no readings on this mystery meter?

The first thing you should probably do is go get your multimeter out of the toolbox

Thanks for detailing out the requested information. I don't know that anyone here, or in Home and Garden, can figure out what you're talking about. There are typically multiple meters on any type of electrical equipment, and since it's electrical, a multimeter will likely be helpful to troubleshooting the problem. Maybe there's a short, maybe something is grounded that shouldn't be, maybe there is an open circuit that should be closed.

What’s the brand and model? Are you referring to the display that shows the voltage and other info?
