I read an article about LSU hiring NC State athletic director to assist Verge Ausberry. Coincidentally Will Wade is now NC State head basketball coach. There have been rumors that the new Associate AD wants to bring Wade with him after the season.

Wrong. He was a football hire & will be assisting Billy Glasscock (Football GM)

He was 1 of about 65 of them at NC State & was 100% involved in Football.

on3 insiders and some folks I've talked to in Baton Rouge that usually have some pretty decent intel said there are open lines of communication between LSU/Verge and Will Wade's camp and that Will Wade will be the first to receive an offer. I have not heard or read of any reciprocal interest from Wade and I seriously doubt there would be.

But we are getting a new arena eventually and clearly our NIL game has been elevated in other sports, I'm sure Wade would raise some crazy NIL money here.

Who knows...

It is quite possible that Will Wade will NEVER be the LSU basketball coach again.

I know for a fact that there were some boosters that flew to NC a few weeks ago to meet with a rep of Wade's and the word was that Wade is NOT happy at NCST, regardless of what he said publicly, and that he definitely would listen to an offer from LSU. Supposedly NCST has not kept up their end of the deal when they hired Wade and he and his wife loved it here. Will see what happens but an offer will definitely be made to Wade. And if they do not fire Wade till the end of the season, which is what I'm hearing, that would tell me they already have their guy .

I think you mean if they don't fire McMahon until the end of the season.

Wade is not coming back. It appear he loves his present job. Like at LSU he has his team playing well. They are Tourney bound.
Why would he come back to the LSU funny farm, when we are spending the majority of our NIL money on Football.

Lost me here

Raleigh is an incredible place to live and similar distance to Wade's family in Nashville.

But the rest of the post of him liking LSU more is certainly plausible!

Regardless of your feelings of BR, I can confirm this (firsthand). They were absolutely bummed to leave BR when he was fired.
