The right to protest is an inherent liberty to any free nation.
The distinction that must be clearly defined and vehemently enforced, is the line between "protest" and "violence".
A protest is signs and chants and passion. It's a demonstration to be heard and foster the possibility of change, or even to interact civilly with your opposition in meaningful discourse to perhaps glean insight into their views and respective perceptions.
What the modern Left does, is insurrection, violence and obstruction. It's that simple. And these things should be summarily put down with extreme prejudice and zero tolerance.
