Does Miami have to fork over 100% of this money in a lump sum equal to ten million dollars, or can they pay over time?

They probably have to pay Duke right away, as for Mensah, I guess it depends on his NIL deal.

Regardless if they pay upfront or not, they are probably still on the hook if he gets injured. It’s not “pay for play”.
