We know that Sam Leavitt is Kiffins number 1 guy as of right now. However, if we do portal him, what does his injury status look like going into the upcoming season? I’ve heard people say he may need surgery which would push him back into this mid season… Any truth to that?

There’s some optics involved as well.

Keeping guys like Green. Bringing on top talent. We have to get a top QB.

Idk if he's even worth the headache of recruiting him. LSU did kinda screw themselves here though chasing that idiot Williams

Gotta agree with you on that.

I’m afraid LSU and Lane screwed the pooch with the Williams situation.

I never understand this statement. Are you the one doing the recruiting? Obviously not, so who cares how much effort it takes? Do you not think any and every top high school recruit didn’t have 100s of schools calling them 5 years ago? They did, and wanted all the attention and who could offer them the most, and best situation. Now that pay to play is legal and there’s a transfer portal EVERY player is going to see who will offer the most and top players will entertain all offers. To get the best you have to work. The days of going to a school for pride or being a fan are over.

When healthy and assuming he’s back to 100%, yes. He’s already had surgery, the injury is just a long recovery.

Based on initial impressions, I’m not too keen on Leavitt. He just seem kinda shady or something. Maybe nothing, just saying.

He did say he was looking for a 2 year process. A year to develop and learn more than the second year to really put it all together. Claimed development was his primary concern. Green backs may sway that.

He’s worth it if he really plans to stay 2 years and only if we get the QB from Elon to be his backup in case his foot injury keeps him out.
