re: Your can't miss/somewhat affordable places in NYC

If your into beer, you can do a tour/tasting at the Brooklyn brewery, only one subway stop out of manhatten (iirc). No food at the brewery, but walking distance to an inexpensive Thai/asian place with ok food, but a really cool/hip atmosphere (can't remembaer the name of the restaurant).
