Deuce McAllister has been released by the New Orleans Saints, sources have told The Times-Picayune.

A press conference will be held later this today, stay with the T-P and we'll have live coverage on www.nola.com.

Not a chance, not as beloved, and let me know when Drew Brees puts us on his back and carries us to the NFC championship game...

I missed the notice where Deuce got the credit for the entire 2006 season. Sorry.

that is a retarted statement. Deuce is the Saints' all time rushing leader. Drew is great, but "EASILY", no- not even close.

Being the saints all time leading rusher doesn't mean much at all. He has 6,000 yards over 8 years. Big woopy. Drew has almost 14,000 yards in 3 years- INCREDIBLE!

This EASILY isn't even a discussion worth having. Deuce is not the better Saint over Drew.

Truly a sad day.

This guy represents everything that's right with pro sports, even with the stupid scandal he got strung up in last year. Here's to one of the all-time Saints.

It's not just what Deuce has done on the field, the guy is as stand-up as they come. He's done a lot for the city, and he's NEVER had a problem in the locker room or anywhere. He never hesitated to restructure his contract to help the team. You think Reggie would restucture to make cap room this year if he was asked?
