STay at the Ameristar Casino or Hampton Inn in Council Bluffs Iowa. Quick 5 minute drive and a lot of Tiger fans (when they are in the series). Last time I went there were hundreds of LSU fans who had parties in the parking lot.

There's a Holiday Inn with an indoor water park. Kind of pricey but , if yer brining kids, it's worth it.

Whatever you do, avoid the "Clarino" it's a dump.Nothing works and the place is dirty and smells like a toilet.

I went last year. Council Bluffs is much cheaper and closer than downtown hotels. Make sure to book early, as there is an annual little league tournament (Road to Omaha) and families of teams book large blocks of rooms.

Now this is whats beautiful about LSU fans, yall absolutely expect to be in Omaha (and you should). That is one thing that I love about tiger fans yall absolutely expect to be the best and nothing less is acceptable.

Stayed at SpringHill Suites in Council Bluffs which is approximately 2-3 miles from the ball park. Very nice and had free breakfast. Only problem was the 300 little league kids that were also staying there.

I'm already booked at Crowne Plaza which was the LSU team hotel last year! Hopefully it will be again!

Can you reserve a room and not use it if we dont make it? Are the dates flexible for staying fewer or lesser days?

Should be no problem to book and cancel, as long as it is before the cancellation date (usually one week or two before). Even if you have to cancel late, it's usually just a one night charge. I'm booked for all LSU football road games now, and will just cancel if I opt out of the trips.

And should be no problem booking for more nights then you really need, or leaving early if you have to. But Tigers will be there for full duration in 2009 so you'll need all the nights!!
