Idk tho. Rebuilding the country of an actually grateful population who suffered under socialist rule and saw how China and Russia tried to keep them oppressed? In your own hemisphere? IDK, might literally be the most obvious geopolitical decision ever that could pay dividends for generations.

God Bless America and Venezuela I think this is gonna be the start of a great partnership.

People are also forgetting that while there may be unforeseen negatives in the future, it was also the morally correct action in addition to whatever USA strengthening outcomes drove the decision.

Sometimes it’s ok to do the right thing even when it’s the most beneficial for you.
