More trivia on Bert Kaempfert. He discovered the Beatles in Hamburg and signed them to back Tony Sheridan on a recording, ‘My Bonnie’ in 1961. He also recorded their first record ‘Ain’t She Sweet’ and an instrumental ‘Cry For a Shadow’ credited to Lennon-Harrison. The recording of My Bonnie resulted in a customer asking for the record at Brian Epstein’s store which led him to The Beatles.
