2. ATH Lamar Brown — LSU Lamar Brown had an outstanding 1-on-1 session and was a clear standout for Team Roses, among the offensive and defensive linemen. Brown took and won a bunch of reps on both sides of the ball, lining up as a defensive lineman and as a guard. He came out on top in several best-on-best matchups against fellow touted 2026 prospects like Immanuel Iheanacho and fellow LSU signee Richard Anderson. Brown’s elite athleticism really stood out in that setting. He showed quick burst off the ball, improving hand usage and got better and better as a D-lineman with the more reps he took. He then flipped over to the offensive line and locked horns with Anderson and had some very impressive reps there as well. Brown is an interesting prospect in that he’s spent most of his time on the offensive line, but has the ability along the defensive front. There’s still room for him to continue improving with his technique and pad level, which we saw in the team periods while defending the run. But his ability to win 1-on-1 matchups as a pass-rusher was very evident at Thursday’s practice. He handed Iheanacho perhaps his only loss of the day in 1-on-1s, beating him off the edge with speed and finishing in the backfield. Overall, a very impressive day for Lamar Brown as he showed why he’s a Five-Star Plus+ prospect. — Charles Power

8. DL Richard Anderson — LSU Richard Anderson had flashes of dominance during the team period on Thursday. He created constant disruption from the nose tackle position, and at times wrecked the offensive plan for Team Roses. Anderson’s power and ability to get underneath the pads of opposing offensive linemen really sticks out. He also had a solid 1-on-1 session, going toe-to-toe with fellow LSU signee Lamar Brown. He showed his ability to play with power and heavy hands to create a steady push as a bull-rusher. Anderson is a true nose tackle and may not be as flashy a player in the 1-on-1 setting as other quicker, streamlined D-linemen, but his impact was felt during the team period and he had plenty of strong moments on day two. — Charles Power

Maybe an unneeded “burning down” comment. He may not have meant that.. but is was a bad look

1on1 OL vs DL is solid for evaluating athleticism but useless in other ways. Hearing Anderson dominated the interior during team gets me feeling some type of way

Not if you look at it with a little common sense instead of just raw emotion.
