Both seemed lean LSU in their recruitments (with dakorien moore being committed to us for the longest time) and watching them drive Oregon down the field in a playoff game makes me wonder how LSU would’ve looked different this season (and future seasons for that matter) with a more competent QB and an extra stud freshman receiver. Obviously I trust we’ll be in a good place with kiffin and the talent we have/will get, but makes you wonder seeing two almost LSU guys balling out!

Oregon to me will always be a soft team that’s just alright. Crumbles when they play a real team which probably isn’t Texas Tech

LSU coaching pacified any sort of competence this year.

They wouldn’t have looked much different. BK was still the HC instilling a soft culture and Joe Sloan was calling plays with Brad Davis’ horrible OL. We would’ve been 8-4 still.

Kelly would've ruined them like he ruined Perkins

I assumed that they thought LSU was too risky with a highly questionable OL and Joe Sloan as OC..Looks like they made the right decision.

Wow, those are tough standards by you, huh? CFP semi-finals = soft, just alright. Sheesh.

I assumed

Yeah you did...

Dante Moore is a 3rd year QB. Denbrook was our OC during his recruitment. He signed with UCLA and started as a true freshman.

Dakorien flipped because he got a bigger NIL deal from Oregon. Not because of Sloan.

Money helps, not playing for Brian Kelly probably helps more.

Only reason oregon is winning because Texas Tech offense is worse than LSU

It sucks just how close LSU has been on so many elite QBs. Top 3 for Moore, top 2 for Caleb Williams. We almost had RG3 years ago too.

There are plenty more I can't remember off the top of my head, but we never seem to bring in the can't miss stud at QB from the high school ranks.

That's not true this year. This Oregon team is different and can win a physical game. Lanning is changing things. They slugged out a win at Iowa in terrible weather in a game that completely favored Iowas style of play. I never thought I'd see an Oregon team outplay Iowa at their own game. Losing Will Stein after this season will hurt them though.
