I read somewhere she had a hole in her heart which made it kinda weak. I guess her getting the flu caused a lot of further damage.

The flu is infinitely more dangerous for most Americans than Covid was, with the exception of that initial strain at the start but even that danger was mostly reserved for the elderly and unhealthy.
