So I assumed it was due to dust build up, I took the cover with light bulb off and the fan looks pristine(house only 3 years old) the fan is silent as can be without the cover.

Once putting it back on, I screwed it securely, the cover rattles a lot making the vibrations.

Anyone had a similar issue and corrected it? I could just buy a new cover with led I guess, but wouldn't mind trying to save a few dollars and try to see if I can soften the vibrations so it isn't as annoying.

Had a similar problem on the one in my laundry room. Turns out the fan motor section was too high in the socket it snaps up into and there was a flap on the side for the exhaust to go out and when it would open the flap would hit the fan blades.

Can you make it stop by applying pressure?

Not to be obstinate but some of the bath fans are engineered to just do that, make noise. It's to cover sounds that eminate from within the realm. And like above, try applying pressure on the cover and see if it quiets. Then solve from there.

Apply some adhesive foam weather stripping around the perimeter of the cover. The foam between the cover & ceiling should stop the vibration noise.
