It's not, but I really was surprised how good of a job they did witht he sequel. It hits many of the same notes while not being just a complete remake.
I love watching it now and seeing how much everyone is cracking up in the background of a lot of scenes. The wife just loses it at the lamp breaking scene when the dad is trying to glue it together and it keeps falling apart. She can't keep it together. It is great.
