Why sign and pay a guy who hasn’t played.The portal is for experienced players who have shone a lot of production.

I think Kiffin will take a look if he comes available. We're most likely taking multiple QBs (veterans and younger QB) so I wouldn't be shocked, I know Kiffin and staff really went after both him and Deuce Knight from Auburn in last year cycle

I’m pretty sure the greatest QB in the history of our program never played before coming here.

2-3 of them and thats where a guy like Russell or the Ohio St kid languishing behind Sayin come in. We need a starter and a developmental kid ready to take over from the starter. Just depends on what these kids are looking for in terms of guarantees in regards to play. The portal is full of promises from all sorts of angles. Then you have the cost. Glad its not me handling the job.

He’s a true Freshman. If Simpson goes pro, he could win the starting job. Unless he’s unhappy there, I doubt he’ll leave
