On almost every initiative, Trump has faced a choice between a faster, flashier approach (likely to generate a judicial response) and a slower, methodical approach (less likely to do so).

Why does Trump uniformly pursue the first option, when the second is far more likely to be effective in the long run?

My personal theory is that he is just addicted to cheering crowds and chaos, but I admittedly do not like the man.

Is there some other reasonable explanation for his seemingly-counterproductive approach to almost every issue?

Because lawfare, doesn't matter how he does it, the cocksuckers will find a Boasberg to try to stop him.

It’s called dealing. Make an offer to do it this way and your opposition will tell you how they want it done. They generally leave out a few things.

So... he should just wait for Congress?

Which has passed FIVE bills this year?

That won't move his nominations?

You are truly dumb.

No.

Like every President before him, he should work WITH Congress to move his initiatives forward, rather than expecting them to kiss the ring.

This gridlock is the predictable result of electing a man who has no understanding of the legislative process.

I suppose somebody trying to do anything all does seem pretty flashy compared to the nine month congressional circle jerk we've all been forced to watch.

When Dems get elected they issue hundreds of EOs and pass hundreds of bills with nary a hint of Republican resistance, judicial or otherwise. Yet when Trump tries to do the same he gets hamstrung on both fronts by either lefty kook judges or his own party which loathes him and his voters.

And when those voters dont show up to reelect the clowns doing absolutely nothing in DC they will blame, yes thats right, Donald Trump.

He does not even have the necessary support in his own party, my friend.

And the reason for this, IMO, is his approach. He does not REQUEST support, he DEMANDS it. He does not ask how the Administration can help a given Congressman move his own agenda forward; he just insists upon fealty.

That is NOT how our Constitution was designed to operate, and it is an approach GUARANTEED to generate opposition on the Hill.

Trump has a lifelong history as an amazingly-effective salesman. Why is he not utilizing those skills with the GOP majority in Congress, rather than taking every opportunity to piss them off?

But I did not start this thread as a place for me to expound my views on Trump's failures. I am genuinely curious about the views of his supporters as to the reasons for his actions.

Let's focus upon the reasons that his OWN party is not supporting him.

Dissing MGT, Massie, Rand Paul etc is one reason people dont want to work with him.

Its a two way street. Trumps supposed to be the leader, the one who gets his party behind him. He does not understand that.
