Really surprised Schumann didn’t get any looks for HC

Georgia D looks good. Don’t get how he’s not even being interviewed. Let’s see what happens second half. Florida and Auburn taking G5 coaches will flop again imo

Because his defense hasn’t been very good this year. This is by far the worst “looking” defense they have fielded under Kirby since they started their run. It may not be the worst statistically (I don’t know if they are or not) but the point is that the defense isn’t elite but is fielding elite talent. He doesn’t seem to get the most out of the talent he has.
Thats why he wasn’t seriously considered for the Auburn job at least.

He's the most overrated assistant coach out there. It's Kirby's defense.

To be fair it isn’t about that. It was Kirby’s defense when Lanning was DC. But when Lanning was DC they fielded elite talent but looked elite. Like I said before Schumanns defense is littered with elite talent but fielding a so-so defense

I don’t know about all that. Their defense appears like it needed work earlier in the season but has progressively gotten better and peaking now. That Georgia offense couldn’t find the end zone with a map in the first half earlier in the season. It’s like they didn’t try to score until mid 3rd quarter.

This happens when a coach and his agent are not pushing his name out there hard. he might just be content with being a DC at a top program for now.

They’ve been steadily improving all season and are peaking at the perfect time.
It may be Kirby’s defense, but that doesn’t stop Lanning from doing well with it. It wouldn’t stop Schumann either.
