Coaches contracts … for argument sake

So I keep seeing people say coaches shouldn’t make this much. I’d argue we do t pay them enough.
My argument is this. What percentage of total revenue that comes into LSU and the city of Baton Rouge on a home game weekend would the coaches salary be ? I’d argue it may be 1% or less. Bad football in Baton Rouge is bad economics for Baton Rouge.

Are the big money boosters paying these salaries really thinking about the Baton Rouge economy?
What’s the average NFL coach make? $5 mil? College football is where it’s at.

My counter is that these people aren’t buying anything in Baton Rouge because most of them don’t even live in the parish, let alone the city. They’re buying food and drink at the piggly wigglys in the Pierre Parts and driving up for the day. Probably not spending $5 in EBR parish.
