I would agree that Hilliard, Cannon, and Faulk would have to be considered the greatest at LSU. In reference to Auburn's backs, I personally think Bo Jackson was the best running back ever at any level. His career cut short is as frustrating as Barry Sanders.

Hilliard is my favorite that I saw play at LSU. If you include NFL career, Jimmy Taylor would have to get some votes. If my memory serves me correctly he was the only NFL back to rush for 1,000 yds five season in succession at that time. They only played twelve game seasons and the greatest of them all, Jim Brown, never did that.
