O'Neal is a shell of his former self. It's always good to add post players, but he's not a force.

Miami still isn't in the class of Boston, Cleveland and Orlando.

You'd have to think that makes Phoenix more desperate and that maybe a team like Portland could snag Amare for an even better bargain than before.

The Blazers would be SICK if they trade some young bench players and add Amare to their roster. They could conceivably become the best in the West with that fanbase and that talent and that owner's pockets.

i liked amare in south beach.
i don't think amare wants to go to portland and he's threatening not to remain long term if he gets traded somewhere he doesn't like.

Portland is an awesome place to live, and they have the best fans in the NBA. He'd be happy once he got there.

Plus I doubt Amare would opt out of at $17.6M final year with a contender in 2011

Yep. Assuming they make a trade at all. I actually think they'll keep the same team going into the second half.
