Could this coaching staff be similar to Spurrier/Stoops back in the day?

Assuming Baker doesn't get poached for a HC position I could see this staff being similar to the Spurrier/Stoops days where Lane will not get involved much in the defensive side.
Interesting since Kiffin looked up to Spurrier and could see himself in a similar position.

Stoops was DC at UF from '96-'98.
IMO, BB has things to prove as a DC. For example, we have been trounced by Milroe, Reed (2x), Diego, and Trinidad. BB needs to show he can scheme against that.

Agreed that he needs to get the running QB thing figured out
