Taking my son on a hunting trip to a friends place near Wimberley TX in a couple of weeks and wanted to see what recs you guys may have for things to see and do. Will be staying near Wimberly. Also looking for recs for the best BBQ in the area. Thank you.

You will be right by Salt Lick. Definitely go there.

Also, not terribly far from Burnt Bean - Seguin, Tx and Terry Black's - Austin (multiple locations).

The Oasis has a breathtaking view of Lake Travis if you want to make the drive up there. I think the view and drinks are worth it; the food is mediocre.

Devils Backbone is an iconic bar with Live Music , Roughhouse Brewing is a family owned brewery on their ranch, The Shady Llama bar has a great outdoor area overlooking a little valley with great sunsets, FM Pizza in Wimberley is really good. Crowded Barrel Distillery has a great multi level deck that is nice to sip and chill on.
