Bobby Williams Saban and Michigan State staff

I remember Saban being trashed and laughed at for basically coming to LSU alone in 2000. As if Saban by himself isn’t enough to build a program, but I guess we didn’t realize how great he was then. Y’all help me remember all the details. It is a little fuzzy from 25 years ago, lol. Didn’t Bobby Williams basically keep the entire staff intact and he ended up fired in a few years anyway? lol. Then he ended up working for Saban at LSU to pour salt in the Michigan State fans wounds. I could see a bunch of Ole Miss coaches coming here in 2-3 years after Golding is fired. Lane is the singular reason for their recent success in that none of it happens without him. Am I basically remembering the details correctly?

Yes. Only MSU assistant it worked out for was Dantonio.

The heat of the moment and then people start to think rationally after. They know Lane was the reason and he built that program from the ashes.
