To those saying Ole Miss is screwed…..I’m not so sure

Sure, Golesh, Sumrall, Morris, and Silverfield are off the board, but there are still some really good coordinators that I think have just as good a chance to succeed as those guys.

Obviously, Ole Miss is going to gauge interest from Matt Campbell, Lincoln Riley, etc., but they still have guys like Collin Klein, Will Stein, Ryan Grubb who would all heavily consider an SEC HC gig.

Their playoff chances and recruiting is screwed regardless of who they eventually hire

it’s the timing, it simultaneously hurts their current team (coaches for playoffs) and future teams (missing early signing day and transfer portal)

If they lose out in the first round they still have time to make a hire before the portal window closes.
