Imagine the immense hatred we would have had if Saban went from LSU to Bama

We already hated Saban for going to bama but at least it was Miami to Bama

I never "hated" Saban. I knew he was a top-shelf college coach ever after that huge upset win over Tennessee in 2000. I knew he probably wouldn't stay long at LSU. He actually stayed a couple of seasons longer than I expected. I had nothing but respect and admiration for the guy and never "hated" him, even during his Alabama dynasty.

I was in New Orleans in 2007 for the LSU CG. When they announced Saban to Bama, the crowd around the dome chanted “frick Nick Saban!”
